Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Expeditor / Planner to join a manufacturing facility in Worcester, MA. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing material flow, and ensuring customer orders are completed and shipped on time. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining manufacturing plans, reviewing production forecasts, releasing customer orders to shipping, and tracking work orders throughout the manufacturing process. The Senior Expeditor / Planner will utilize MRP systems to analyze material requirements, establish production schedules, and coordinate priorities with production supervisors. Additional responsibilities include planning machine shop operations, managing materials requiring outside processing, coordinating with Purchasing and Quality Assurance to expedite critical components, monitoring inventory movements, and communicating lead times and order updates to Customer Service.

Candidates must have 3–5 years of production planning, scheduling, or expediting experience within a manufacturing environment, along with previous experience using MRP systems. Must possess strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple production priorities independently. Experience with manufacturing workflows, inventory management, material planning, and machine shop operations is highly preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and comfortable working directly with production, purchasing, quality, and customer service departments. Previous experience with Great Plains (GP) software is a plus. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, or a related field is preferred but not required. Must be able to walk throughout the manufacturing facility and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
