Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Depot Repair Technician to join a scientific instrumentation company in Westborough, MA. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing electromechanical and analytical instruments. Daily responsibilities include inspecting returned equipment, identifying mechanical and electronic issues, repairing components, performing preventive maintenance and calibrations, and conducting quality control testing before equipment is returned to customers. The technician will also maintain accurate repair records, work orders, and inventory documentation in Salesforce, assist with receiving and shipping equipment, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.

 

Requirements

Job Requirements
Candidates should have experience working with electromechanical instrumentation, electronic components, or PC boards. Must possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, and experience following equipment repair and maintenance procedures. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, managing multiple repairs, and documenting technical information accurately. Knowledge of circuit board repair, analytical instrumentation, NIR technology, chemistry, or calibration procedures is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. High school diploma required; some college or technical education is preferred.
