Communication & Collaboration:
Clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing, practice active listening, reframe messages for clarity, and engage teams to foster improvement and efficiency.
Leadership & Team Management:
Oversee team operations, assign tasks, manage schedules, handle minor disputes, coach employees, and serve as backup to department lead when needed.
Problem Solving & Decision Making:
Analyze issues, implement effective solutions, troubleshoot departmental challenges, and make critical decisions to maximize efficiency and manpower.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines; manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste; audit work for compliance and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement & Operations:
Train and coach on work processes, participate in departmental duties (mixing, filling, warehouse, etc.), and apply 5S and CI methodologies to enhance productivity.
Requirements
High school diploma required; prior leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution preferred.
Competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), SAP, and operation of material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, scissor lift).
Physically capable: frequent sitting, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (10–75 lbs.).
Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
