  • Perform detailed inspections of mechanical components, assemblies, purchased parts, and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct first-piece, final, and functional inspections during manufacturing operations.
  • Accurately document inspection results, report nonconformances, and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area in line with 5S and safety practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in the training of new inspectors.

Requirements

  • Proficient in using inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges, and Rockwell hardness testers.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to read and understand highly technical prints.
  • Proficient in basic computer use and data entry into ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily seated work with the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision required for high accuracy inspections.
