Hands on Position leading the manufacturing team (currently 6 employees) in building high quality lifting equipment (wire rope swivels, crane blocks, overhaul balls, insulating links). Supports all shop floor departments, Assembly, Machining, Painting, Shipping & Receiving. Liaison between the production floor and other departments. Manages ship floor work by prioritizing and delegating shop packets to ensure on time delivery. Creates and manages employee schedules to provide adequate coverage for all depts. Ensure shop floor employees are working to company standards. Enforces all health and safety policies in the shop, including maintaining a clean and organized shop floor. Works closely with Engineering and Quality depts. To make certain products are being manufacturing to company and customer requirements. Assisting in the recruiting and hiring of new show employees. Provides training and coaching to shop floor staff. Maintains tooling and consumables to the necessary quantities to support workload. Assist with shop floor control including opening and closing work packets and material allocation to work centers and inventory maintenance
